Nereids are the fifty sea nymph daughters of Nereus and Oceanid Doris, living under the Aegean Sea in a silver grotto. Each of them represent an aspect of the sea such as, salty water, waves, the sand, the rocks..
The necklace is a representation of the beauty and magic found in these creatures. In the middle of sparkling waves recreated with Lapis lazuli and freshwater pearls, you can see Nereids accompanying Poseidon or helping the lost sailors or playing around with sea foam.
